This is a strange pic! I see it's a painting, yet you made it look very 3D. It must be the strong contrasts and the sharp edges... It looks good though. Try, however, to touch down the edges a bit, like on the lips. Also, if you wanted to make her similar to the woman in the photo, you should add more shadows here and there to add the older look.

You have used a really interesting tecnique on this piece, it almost looks 3D rendered. She looks like some kind of cyborg or something similar, hehe. Nice texture job om the seat, the metal bar on top of the seat looks a little too blurry to fit the seat, but thats nitpicking. Overall, a wierd and nice piece :)

Nice modelling of face..it is looks like 3D..bit plastic look is there...is it intentionally? looks bit unfinished to me...and that chair looks almost real..thats y the face looks more artificial..

thanks everybody...The whole 3d look was unintentional.. however ..I did put a smart blur on the reference,( to get rid of the noise) maybe that's why it truned out to be bit life-less ......the eyes how ever I intentionally made to look as if they were made out of plastic..just to focus the whole pice to one direction..
Thanks for the crits again..especially the henn man.. it's really encouriging for some one like you to crit on there work...
tam working on a colored peice right now anyone has a good tut on approaching a colored painting please post it here( or pm me)

+good placement of face features, very realistic.
+ good handling of light and shadow on the face.

  • The seat (?) looks like it's been instant-textured.
  • Monotonous black, white, gray, blue. It looks artificial.
Just my 2cents. =)
